Six years spent as principal account executive with exclusive responsibility for the North Carolina Press Association and its for-profit subsidiary, N.C. Press Services, as executive director.  As clerk to the Board of Directors, ensured board policies were followed. Performed day-to-day financial management, and supervised and guided the NCPA and NCPS staff to the fulfillment of the organization’s goals and objectives. Worked closely with the association’s legislative committee and lobbyist, helping them carry out the association’s legislative goals.
